The BM 12 A is a two-way active analog monitor with an 8” woofer and 1.1” soft dome tweeter featuring proprietary Dynaudio Acoustics neodymium driver technology. This model includes switchable EQ contour filters for optimizing speaker placement, as well as high-pass filters for use with subwoofers, like Dynaudio Acoustics BM14S The Origin of Dynaudio Acoustics Dynaudio was founded in Denmark in 1977 with a focus on Hi-fi speakers. Later, the market approach was expanded to include the automotive market supplying high-end car installations for VW and Volvo executive class cars. After experiencing overwhelming interest from the professional audio market, Dynaudio decided to establish a subdivision in 1990. The new division, named Dynaudio Acoustics, was to focus 100 percent on designing monitors for the professional audio market. In 1999 Dynaudio Acoustics entered into a strategic alliance with TC Electronic. Since then, a major leap forward has been taken within the sphere of professional monitors, due especially to the sharing of knowledge between the two companies. Today, Dynaudio Acoustics stands at the pinnacle of monitor technology - not only performance wise, but also in the areas of calibration and networking - supplying unsurpassed stereo and surround monitoring systems for world leading broadcast companies, music and post production studios, computer game developers and other significant players in the professional audio market.
